Privacy Policy
How the Yayasan Gambut website minimises data collection and handles information you choose to provide.

Data when you visit
Public pages can be read without an account. The Staff Workspace uses Google Workspace sign-in for @yayasangambut.org accounts. Hosting and network providers may process standard technical data—such as IP address, browser type, access time, and requested page—to maintain security, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
Staff Workspace
The Staff Workspace stores Google identity, name, organisation email, role, drafts, media, login sessions and activity records to manage articles. Session cookies last up to eight hours. Unpublished drafts and media are restricted by account and role; published articles and their media become public. The service uses Google for sign-in, Cloudflare for storage and GitHub for publishing. Website visitor statistics are available to signed-in staff; the staff dashboard does not include Google Analytics tracking.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website visits, traffic sources, and the pages visitors read so that we can improve our content and services. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes information such as device and browser details, page interactions, and approximate location. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, or message contents to Google Analytics. Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in our website tag.
You can manage cookies through your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Further information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Third-party content and services
Some images and documents come from Yayasan Gambut’s official archive. Links to WebGIS, social media, and other external websites are governed by their own privacy policies. Once you open those services, their terms apply to the handling of your data.
Information you send us
If you contact us by email, we use your name, email address, message, and any other information you provide to answer your enquiry or follow up on collaboration. We retain it only for as long as needed for that purpose, administrative obligations, or applicable legal requirements.
Sharing and security
We do not sell personal data. Information may be processed by service providers that help operate the website and email, or disclosed when required by law. We use reasonable security measures, although no internet transmission is completely risk-free.
Privacy requests
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you previously sent, email official@yayasangambut.org. We may request reasonable verification before acting on a request.
Policy changes
We will update this policy when website features, service providers, or data-handling practices change. The latest update date will always appear on this page.
